Brick Trowels

A brick trowel is a hand tool used in masonry work for spreading, shaping, and smoothing mortar or cement when laying bricks, blocks, or stones.

  • Shape: It has a flat, pointed steel blade that tapers to a sharp end, allowing for precise placement of mortar.

  • Purpose: The wide base of the blade holds mortar, while the pointed tip makes it easy to apply and spread between bricks. It’s also used for cutting off excess mortar and tapping bricks into position.

  • Sizes: Available in different lengths (commonly 9–13 inches), with larger trowels suited for laying blocks and smaller ones for brickwork or detailed jobs.
